July 30th 2006 - Retail Therapy

Mummy decided it was time to take me for some retail therapy ... although I got the impression she is not very good at it! I think in the future this activity is better guided by Julia, Sharon or some of Mummy's other friends! Before we'd actually gone into any shops my pram got a puncture .... but mummy carried on regardless as we were already the furthest distance from the car.

We were going bargain hunting in the sales, to get me some clothes for the winter, as I am going to need at least 3 more sets of clothes before my first birthday! I think Mummy is jealous as she has to wear the same clothes for months / years at a time. We found lots of lovely expensive stuff, but given I am only going to wear most of it for 3 months, we looked and left. However in Marks and Spencer and Next we found loads of things, many in the sale or good bargains. I ended up with a pram suit, a grow-bag, several t shirts and joggers, some new trainers, a reversible jacket, a pinnafore (phew the list is exhausting!). Mummy got nothing!

When we got home Daddy was horrified to see the big bags Mummy was carrying, but was a bit happier once she told him how much she had saved (not spent!!). Then Mummy told Daddy about the puncture, and he used several words I didn't understand and went off and fixed it. Mummy then went and checked my pram later and it still had a flat tyre. Daddy got all cross as it turned out the same tyre had 2 holes in it and he couldn't quite work out how Mummy had managed that amount of damage. Well its all fixed now which is what matters.
