July 14th 2006 - Jasmine Houdini

Mummy and Daddy went out to a birthday party tonight so Auntie Diane looked after me. First me, Mummy and Diane drove over to the pub in Teddington to meet Daddy from work. Daddy introduced me to some of his work colleagues nd we had some fun. Mummy had let Auntie Diane dress me so I was in my pretty pink flower dress and shoes that Nana and Grandad bought me. I looked really cute - like a super model, but Mummy forgot her camera so no photos - sorry!

Mummy and Daddy had their beer and I had my milk at the pub, then Auntie Diane took me home to bed. Mummy had given her instructions about swaddling me, and how to get me to sleep ..... but the challenge was going to be far too much fun for me! By the time Mummy and Daddy got home at 11pm, I was still not asleep and had managed to break free of every swaddle! At this point Auntie Diane was in despair and decided I was like Houdini. Eventually Mummy got me to sleep and I slept from midnight to 6.30am - Mummy was really pleased with me as she needed a lie in!

Also I have been drinking more milk the last couple of days and Mummy and Daddy think I might be having the growth spurt that tends to happen around 6-8 weeks. They are going to make me up some bigger bottles tomorrow to see if I drink most of those - can't wait.
