My new found independence:
Today Daddy looked after me as Mummy was working. Daddy has just bought some new phones, as the buttons are worn out on the old ones (not quite sure how!!). I helped him program them in. I was so thorough that Daddy couldn't undo my sophisticated programming, so he had to phone the company 'help desk' to sort out the problem. They were confused too, saying the problem should only have been caused by an electrical fault - have they not met pickles before?? Finally the problem was sorted out!
Then I proceeded to show Daddy all the things I could do when he was not watching, like dropping Mummy's shells in the bathroom down the toilet, climbing onto the middle shelf of my toy shelves, and standing in my high chair.
I also taught him that food served to me on a spoon was no longer acceptable - either I put it in my mouth with my fingers or a spoon (not ideal for yoghurt!!) . Finally I showed him I could walk everywhere WITHOUT holding his hand.... doesn't matter if I fall down occasionally, but crawling is no longer required.
All in all, Daddy had a fun, but educational day!!
